Dorothy May Carriker, 84, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri passed away March 23, 2018 at 9:55AM. A celebration of life will be held at 2pm, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Parkview Community of Christ, Blue Springs, Missouri. Ms. Carriker was born June 06, 1933 in Independence, Missouri.
Dorothy was born in Independence, Missouri and moved with her family to El Dorado Springs, Missouri where she graduated high school. Dorothy was family historian and everyone invited her to weddings, etc. to get pictures in the albums. She traveled around the word with her husband and loved telling family and friends of her adventures.
She was preceded in death by husband of 57 years Jesse Clark Carriker, her parents Hollis and Elaine Andes of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, her older sisters Wanetta Payne of Independence, Missouri and Atha Keele of Blue Springs, Missouri, older brother Leroy Andes of Monet, Missouri, son Clint Carriker of Aspen, Colorado and daughter Valorie Carriker of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Survivors include daughter Deborah Carriker and son Neil Carriker of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, 4 grandchildren; Jon, Amy, Nate, and Matt, and 8 great grandchildren, brother Earl (Vicky) Andes of Fulton Missouri.
