Sorry about the question marks Joyce, a typo.
I was recently inquiring of my old school mates about “Miss Wood” and where she was now. So sad to learn of her passing.
Besides being in her various choirs, I took private lessons from her. I still am a singer and my husband and I perform locally in the Northern Arkansas area. I wanted to share a recording with her because she was so very important to me in my teen years. Looking back now, I realize, she was barely older than me! I just adored her. She poured so much of herself into her students and I am so glad to see that she went on to have children of her own. Rest in peace, Miss Wood. You live in my memories.
