Charles “Charlie” Rothrock, 72, Raytown, Mo passed away Sept. 25, 2019. Charlie is survived by his wife Judy, 4 children and 7 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11 AM, Wed. Oct. 9, 2019 at Community of Christ Church, 6231 Manning Ave. Raytown, Mo 64133.
Charlie was married to his best friend of 48 years, Judy. Their journey started with the purchase of a car between two dads. Judy’s dad (Charles Madden) did not want her to get engaged to this other guy so he convinced Charlie to take his daughter on a date. And fate blossomed from there.
Together they shared their love for life in Hawaii. After 10 years fate would step in once again because Charlie believed family was about love, not who you are born to. And unmeasurable love he gave to his 4 children; Jeshua, Melissa, Barbara, and Christopher. Charlie was also a wonderful Papa to his 7 grandchildren; Chase, Cole, Jacob, Evie, Charlie Marie, Adalie, and Savannah.
Charlie taught us family is everything and he leaves a legacy behind that you stick by your loved ones, even in hard times. We are stronger together then alone. Charlie’s soul will always be with us.
“Some say the world is a vale of tears, I say it is a place of soul-making”
~ John Keats

Losing a husband/father/grandfather is one of the most difficult things for a wife/children/grandchildren to bear, but knowing the amount of love that exist within each one you helps to ease the pain, I know how much you all are loved by him, as you all enter into this new journey of your lives just now that even though he’s not physically here to tell you how much he loves you all, spiritually the love is here within each one of you and it’s stronger than it’s eve been and will only become stronger as he looks down upon us all to make sure that we’re all ok, and to let us know that he also fine and that he is always here with us.
I’m so blessed to be a part of such an amazing family, Love you all
