Edna Dorothy Harrom, 96, passed away on November 9, 2020 at Armour Oaks Senior Living Community in Kansas City, Missouri where she had resided for the past decade.
Edna was born on November 3, 1924 in Plainview, Nebraska to Ole John and Amanda Alma Hirseland Harrom. She was the next youngest of eleven children born of the marriage and was the sole survivor. She was educated in Knox County and upon graduation from Creighton (NE) High School moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She was employed as a secretary for Armco Steel Company (now A-K Steel Corporation) and retired in 1982 with thirty-eight years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her brothers and sisters and numerous nephews and nieces. However, she is survived by many nephews and nieces throughout the nation. As a loyal member of Community Christian Church, she served, in retirement, as an active volunteer, as a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and other organizations.
A graveside memorial service will be held at the Norwegian Lutheran Cemetery, Winnetoon, Nebraska at a later date.
