Sarah Shea Hanson, age 22, of Columbia, Missouri passed away May 18, 2021 at her home.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 903 Bernadette Drive in Columbia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
She was born October 28, 1998 in Columbia to Brian and Denise (Dubé) Hanson, who survive. Sarah was a graduate of Hickman High School and received her Childcare Development Credential. She was a Certified Peer Specialist at Powerhouse Community Development. Sarah’s love for children, her family, friends and her fiancé Jamir Adams was boundless.
In addition to her loving parents, Sarah also leaves behind her brothers Timothy (Shaylyn) and Bobby Hanson; aunts and uncles Chris (Pam) Hanson and Debbie Dubé; cousins Chris (Karyn) Hanson and children Luke and Nathan, Mike (Abby) Hanson and children Max and Elly, Melissa (Matt) Hight and children William and Ephraim.
Sarah is preceded in death by her grandparents Bob and Florence Dubé and Jean and James Hanson; aunt Diana Dubé and uncle Keith Hanson.

When I met Sarah, she was so bright, bubbly, kind, and full of life. She was one of those people that everyone became instant friends with because she was so welcoming, easy to talk to, and hilarious. I wish we could have gotten to know each other better but I will forever treasure getting to meet such a beautiful soul. Much love to her family and friends.

Sarah was the definition of a best friend. Before we parted ways for high school, we were inseparable. It’s hard to believe that one of the brightest souls I’ve been fortunate to know is no longer with us. Believe me when I say, her enthusiasm and joy for life will be dearly missed.
