John Allen Rodgers

John Allen Rodgers, 70, of Independence, Mo passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at his home.

John was born on June 30, 1951 to Allen and Barbara Rodgers in Kansas City, Ks. He graduated from from Northeast High School in 1969.  He then attended a trade school for Electronics. After trade school, he worked for the Kansas City Southern Railroad, where he retired after 30 plus years of service.

John was proceeded in death by his parents Allen and Barbara Rodgers and a brother Clinton Rodgers.

John is survived by his siblings Shirley Orescanin, Cheryl Duffey (Don), Joyce Hardison, Caroline Dierkens (Bill), Steven Rodgers, Thomas Garrison (Mary), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  John is survived by his 5 children Julie Rodgers, Bonnie Phillips, Barbara Gills, Jason Rodgers, Justin Rodgers and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A special Thank You to his niece Susan Schroer “Suzy Q” that took great care of him in his last few months, Beverly with Contrive Home Care Solutions and everyone at Missouri Palliative and Hospice Care.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no funeral services, he will be cremated at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society in Raytown, MO.

    So sorry for your loss. I wasn’t around John too much but when I was he always made me laugh he will be truly missed
