Opal G Long, 79, of Kansas City, MO passed away October 20th, 2021, in her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold & Olive Skaggs, brother Dwight Skaggs, husband Cecil M Long Jr, and son Jimmie W Long.
Opal is survived by her daughter-in-law Virginia Long, grandson Michael Long, granddaughter Nicole Starnes (Jason), great-grandchildren Jaxton & Ambria, brother Gary Skaggs, and sister-in-law Theresa Greer Skaggs.
Opal dedicated her career to the City of Kansas City working in the printing department of City Hall until retirement. She and Marvin loved traveling in their RV and fell in love with Arizona where they eventually invested in a retirement home. Her kind nature and light hearted sense of humor will be greatly missed. A private graveside service will be held at Greenfield Cemetery of Cedar County in Jericho Springs, MO where she will be laid to rest with her family.
