On January 21st, 2022, Mary Elyta Gray, 61 of Kansas City, Mo; Went into the Lord’s arms surrounded by her loving family; Her husband William Gray Sr. of 44 years. A loving mother to daughter Tiffany Herrera and significant other of Kansas City. Son William Gray Jr. (Frankie), and spouse Rachelle Morales, of Independence, MO. Daughter Brianna McComas and spouse Ricky McComas of Warrensburg, Mo. Youngest son Michael Ward of Kansas City, Mo. As well as six granddaughters, and seven grandsons all of which meant the world to her and were the light of her life. She was known by all as the community Mom. She cared for many people that she saw as her children and grandchildren that were her babies too. She also leaves behind her father Bill Slaten, brother Darrin Slaten, and her sister Janetta Slaten-Johns. Also, her brother Sam Ford. And her brother-in-law Howard E Gray Jr. As well as her best friend of 50 years Rick Hyde.
She was reunited in heaven with her mother Judy Slaten, her sister Kari Trotter, her brother Billy Ford, and brother Scott Ford. Her father Dale Chester Ford. As well as her Grandma and Grandpa Couts, and countless others.
Forever missed and heavenly blessed. Fly high Mom!
Services for Mary will be Saturday, January 29th, 2022, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society. 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Kansas City, MO 64133. Visitation will be 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Mary’s Funeral Service will follow starting at 11:00 AM. If you are unable to attend, you may view the service through the following livestreaming link. Livestreaming will start at 11:00 AM
