Dennis lived in Kansas City, Missouri for 36 years in the home he and his wife built. He is survived by his wife Vera F. Price (64), son Dennis W. Carman (43), daughters Julie A. Carman (42), and Heather N. Carman (36). In addition to his children he had 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Dennis was born on September 4th, 1954 in Florence, AZ. He was the 4th child out of 6 siblings. He met his wife Vera, when living in Kansas city in 1974. They began living together in 1975 in North East Kansas City off of Indiana and Thompson. They then started a family together in 1977. They moved briefly to Kilbrin, Illinois before returning to Kansas City, Missouri in 1979.  They moved into their forever home in 1985.

Over the span of the 36 years spent in his home Dennis opened his doors to many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need including family, friends, and strangers. To know Dennis, was to love him. He truthfully had the biggest heart. He was no stranger to hard work. He started in the workforce as a stone mason for 10 years. He then worked for Continental Siding for 30 years.

Dennis had a joyous personality that was contagious. He was always one you could count on when you were in need of a good laugh. He lived on the wild side. His interests included motorcycles, fast cars, pretty ladies, and good beer. In addition to this he loved fishing, hunting, and getting into shenanigans with his best friend Bob. What he enjoyed most was quality time spent with family during anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. Dennis was a simple man and appreciated life for what it was. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and will be missed by many.

The loss of a loved one is never easy, I know you’ll always hurt for him and his earthly presence, but I promise, death isn’t final. He’s always with you. Never stop talking to him and pay close attention to your dreams where you’ll see him often.
My heart goes out to you, Heather, and your family
Love always, RJ and Rebecca Kelly

I was 10 when my sister Vera brought Dennis into our lives. Vera brought him home, Dennis’s family grew, he fit right in. My Mother loved him dearly and we did too. We laughed together and we cried together. Thinking back on Thmpson rd, it was a struggle I’m sure of my Mother providing for all of us, Dennis stepped right in to help provide some of our needs. He got in trouble once when Mom came home and found a few 10 speeds strung across the yard. It was just Dennis wanting us to have. Dennis, I have so many memories of. He gave so much. This is tuff and feels weird that he is gone. As if it’s not real. I love you Dennis and will miss that your not there with Vera and the kids
