Roy W. Daniel, 70, Kansas City, KS, passed away peacefully March 6, 2022. Roy was born October 25, 1951 in Colorado City, Tx.
Roy was a proud Marine serving in the Vietnam war, with an honorable discharge June, 1972. During his life, Roy enjoyed music, singing/playing guitar with ‘Stan and Dan’, performing in the West Texas Howard Johnson circuit. He was also a regional manager for McDonald’s in TX, before being employed by Wyckoff Ink. He ended his career working for Pavlich, Inc., Kansas City, KS, as an over-the-road driver starting February 1996. He moved from driver to dispatcher, February 2002 working in the office until his death. Roy has also served several terms as Commander of Jarchow-Schroeder American Legion Post 61, Kansas City, MO.
Roy is preceded in death by his father, Hubert Daniel; mother, Melba Bradberry; brother, Phillip Daniel; and nephew, Tracey Daniel.
Survivors include: His brother, Robert Daniel and wife Jana, Burleson, TX; son, Michael and wife, Toni, Holliday, TX; grandson Colby, and great grandson, Grayson; granddaughter, Darian, great and grandchildren, Aurora, Roman and Aryton; son, Christopher, Wichita Falls, TX; grandchildren, Emily, Brooklyn, Cole and Jaxon; nieces, Joy, Jill, (Robert) and Jeanna (Phillip), and a host of great nieces and nephews; stepsister, Laura Cordial; stepbrothers, Bo Cleveland and Earl Daniel; special friends, Carlos and Rhonda Pinno, and a host of friends.
Celebration of life to be held Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Jarchow-Schroeder American Legion Post 61 hall 1-4pm. 5125 N Bellaire Ave, Kansas City, MO 64119
My heart goes out to the family. Roy was my first cousin and he was loved by his Alabama families.
Please accept our condolences. Roy was a dear friend to us for many many years. We met him when he began career at Pavlich. He never missed a holiday or a birthday without calling us and wishing us the best! I’m going to miss those conversations at the holidays and Veterans Day! He was a special person who sacrificed his life for all of us and paid a hefty price! I will always be grateful to have met him and been able to have him as my FRIEND! RIP Roy
Roy was a super special person to us We meet him six years ago he lived next door to us He is a Great man like a father to us he never missed a day with out saying hey pretty lady to me he was so giving,loving and caring there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for us or us for him he is deeply missed and loved from us
