Dear Landra and Family: I worked with Lana her entire career with the Kansas City School District. She was a true friend and we had many funny, hilarious moments working together over the years. She will be deeply missed but her spirit will stay in my heart for always.
Dear Landra and family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. She was definitely an integral part of the family. I know all of you have some great memories to treasure. She was always a fun person to be around. Hold those memories close to your hearts, and she will live on in those memories. We love you all, and may God comfort you in his loving arms. Love, Melanie, John and Grammie.
Dear Landra and family: I met Lana when I moved here from Puerto Rico in 1995. She was the counselor at the school I worked at. She welcomed me with open up arms and a friendly smile. She helped in any way she could. Then we met again at another school. Lana was always cheerful, helpful, full of insight and willing to listen. I enjoyed the time I was able to spend with her. She will be missed. May God comfort you and your family during this time.
Dear Duane, Landra and family, I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful sister. I think of Lana and hear giggles. When we were kids couldn’t wait to get to Grandpa’s and head down the street to play with my cousins. They were simple times, but hold such a warm place in my heart. God Bless you all! Love Sandy
To Lana’s Family
I have worked and known Lana over her entire career in Kansas City Missouri. She was a beautiful person with a spirit to match. Bright, humorous and always ready to lend a helping hand or an ear for anyone in need. She brightened many a day, meeting or get-together with a smile and gentle way. Remember that ‘The love of God surrounds her, The light of God enfolds her, The power of God protects her and The presence of God watches over her. Wherever she is, God is and all is well’.
Dear Family Members & Friends,
Lana was a unique person. Bright, insightful, and caring. She was always willing to help students and her fellow counselors and staff members. Lana will be greatly missed!
To Dad (Duane), Aunt Landra and Family,
I am so incredibly sorry to hear of Aunt Lana’s passing. Words cannot express the sorrow and grief I feel over such a great loss. I wish I could be there to lean on each other for support, but I am sending light and love with Aunt Lana for the journey she is embarking on now. There are so many memories I have that I will cherish, but my heart aches every time I think of them. Please give yourselves much love, comfort and grace through this tough time and know that it will get a little less painful as time moves on. Our last conversation was about her new great nephew and how she was so excited for us; I wish she could have met him, but I know she can see us now anytime she pleases. I will miss Aunt Lana a lot and know she feels the same about us too. I think of that last conversation and will sign off with the last words I said to my Aunt Lana… Love you lots
Love, Michelle and Gage Williams
It doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to make it. I am very sorry. I really did want to be there. If you would, please let Landra & everyone know I wanted to come, I just couldn’t. I am deeply sorroed & I still can’t believe it. Tell Landra I wish I could have been there. Luv to everyone ?
Duane and Landra, the message from Sandra McCombs was not me, I copied a text from Parrish. Lana had a beautiful celebration of life, just like her beautiful family. Sandy
Landra and family,
Lana was simply a beautiful person, inside and out. I have so many wonderful memories of her, mostly from high school times. In addition to her beauty, Lana’s kindness, sensitivity to others, and sense of humor were always on display. The playful side of Lana was a special treasure to me. I was lucky to experience that ornery smile and that wildly contagious giggle on many occasions. I was very blessed to have known her.
My heart goes out to you and your family.
