Donna Roach

Donna Roach, 70 of Columbia, MO passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at her home on June 5, 2022 after a brave journey with colon cancer. She was born to Stella Marie and Noel Ernest Taylor on November 15, 1951 in Cameron, MO. Later she was raised by her foster parents, Theron and Mildred Hickman of Stewartsville, MO. Donna graduated from East Buchanan High School in Gower, MO in 1971.

She is survived by three daughters, Charity (Eldon) Vogel of Wathena KS, LeEtta (Lucky) Moore of Kingdom City, MO and Bridgette Roach of Columbia, MO. Honorary son, Matt Long and his daughter, Ruby of Hallsville, MO. Also surviving, her siblings, Susan L. Lynch of Liberty, MO and Roy D. Taylor of Erich, MO. Donna has many grandchildren that she loved unconditionally: Amithyst, Austin, Nohl, Mitchell, Shelby, Wyatt, Hunter and Cameron. Along with a great-grandchild, Avery and several nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and siblings, Noel E. Taylor Jr., Robert E. Taylor and Judy A. Swope.

Donna was a hard worker, working most her life within the customer service industry. Not knowing a stranger, she was always quick to share a laugh and was not afraid to tell it like it is. Many people called her “mom”; which she was proud of. Her kind heart will be greatly missed. Donna loved working in puzzle books, reading, listening to music and being with her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later announced date.

In lieu of sending flowers, her family requests that donations be made in memory of Donna Roach to Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia, MO. Monetary donations can be sent via check to:
