My very deepest heartfelt sympathies to Carla´s family. I hope that God will bless and keep you all in his comfort. I have so many wonderful memories of Carla and with her. We met at a very young age. We spent a lot of time together especially our young high school years. Carla was silly and made me laugh on a regular basis. We spent many a night together spending the night at the Guthrie house and me spending the night at the Yewell household. I knew her mom, Ruth, sisters, Denise, Lori, Lisa and bothers Michael and Stephen along with her Grandparents. A very special memory is that Carla would always help herself to a big bologna sandwich with velveeta
cheese right out of our refrigerator, which I would not eat if you paid me, but she loved it! She would then join my parents and talk with them about God and life. While my sister, Linda and me would try to get Carla away from her conversation. Carla had an infectious laugh and could turn on a dime to yell at her siblings! She was fun, full of life, and had many friends. We were cheerleaders together and had tons of good times. The last time that I saw Carla was many years ago at my parents 50th wedding anniversary. She came on her own to Greendale Baptist Church to see my parents and the Guthrie kids. She was loved by so many people.
