Christopher Ervin, 45 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away November 1, 2022, at Kansas City Hospice House.
A Celebration of Life for Christopher will be Saturday November 19th, 2022, at The Elks Lodge in Harrisonville, MO (2402 Route 291Harrisonville, MO 64701) from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
Mr. Ervin was born August 25, 1977, in Warrensburg, MO. Christopher loved and cherished his two wonderful daughters, and his granddaughter Amelia. Christopher was known to be an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and swimming. He also shared a love for cooking and playing guitar. Christopher was a great musician who had taught himself to play guitar. He was in numerous bands and well known in the musician community.
Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Don and Mary Ervin, stepbrother Galen Cooper, maternal grandfather Ray McFarland and stepmother Lois Ervin.
Survivors of Christopher include: Daughters Coressa Hart (Ryan) of Fort Riley, KS and Caitlynn Ervin (Tucker) of Lee’s Summit, MO, granddaughter Amelia Mae Hart, Mother Debbie Francy and Stepfather Dean Francy of Garden City, MO, Father Tim Ervin of Pleasant Hill, MO, Sisters April Ervin (James) of Kansas City, MO and Staci Diamond (Dan) of Scotts Valley, CA, Stepsisters Tricia Rosha (Noel) and Lora Clymore (Donnie) of Greenwood, MO, April Cotter (Jeff) of Kingsville, MO and Sheila Larkey (Norman) of Belton, MO, Grandmother Sheila McFarland in Raytown, MO along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Without Chris I would have never discovered great music like I did. He was one of the sweetest souls I have ever known. Almost all of my best memories of growing up involve Chris. We were friends immediately and he was close enough to be my brother at one time. He was loyal enough to let me in and out of his life numerous times and was always there when needed. He was not perfect. But he had a way to lift those around him at the right time. I know Chris as the perpetual optimist. He would hit a wall and just run into it harder. This skill helped him learn guitar. Above almost everything Chris was a self taught musician. The way he made it look so easy. The many, many nights of practicing for as long as I have known him leading to the amazing talent he had playing guitar. He is a talent I will truly miss. Please remember my friend Chris as the great musician he was. I promise you he will appreciate it.

I am a loss for words right now, finding out Chris passed is blowing my mind right now. We grew up from grade school in Strasburg to graduating high school. Learning music w Chris was an amazing journey.he will never be forgotten. RIP Chris,you will be missed! Fly high up there and tell everyone hello.xoxo

Loved Chris like a brother. He was always the best friend you could have, and the proudest father ever.
Will miss him forever and wished we still worked together, with him living in my house, and cooking yummy meals together.
