Delbert E. Wirth, 62, formally of Lee’s Summit Missouri, passed on to his heavenly home in the early hours of November 3, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Rose Wirth.
Delbert graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1979 and a year later entered Sheet Metal Workers Local 2. In 1981 he married his wife of 42 years, Deborah, and had 2 children, Stephen of Belton and Hannah of Raytown. Later another “son of the heart” was added to the family. Delbert leaves 4 grandchildren.
Delbert was a long-term attender of Blue Ridge Bible Church, now known as Word of Grace Fellowship, serving in a variety of ways to keep the building in good condition and mechanically sound. Spending extended time after his retirement in 2019 to aid in the remodeling of the building.
A celebration of life will be held at Word of Grace Fellowship, 11950 E. State Route 350, Raytown Missouri, on Saturday, November 19,2022. Visitation at 10:00am, with the service to follow at 11:00am.
Remembrances can be sent to hannah.maryanne@gmail.com. The family would like to gather them for a book for the grandchildren.

So sorry you were so removed from your cousins in Michigan. You and your brother Dennis were the highlight of our visits and will always enjoy memories of sharing your cross-country travels with your parents.
In the 70’s “I Am Third” was a popular slogan Delbert loved and lived the rest of his life. He was known for aiding those he came in contact with using his many talents. There wasn’t a family member or friend he hadn’t helped. Money, time, mechanics or building skills were freely given.
As his brother I was a recipient many times over of his skills and time. Sometimes driving hours to get me to oncology appointments or spending time with me during many hospitalizations, he was there whenever asked. A favorite memory was the trip we took together to Reno for skiing and a visit to the National Car Museum. Mom said it was nice to see us doing things together as adults though she hoped he wouldn’t try skiing like his reckless older brother Dennis.
Delbert, you are greatly missed.
Your Dad’s service was beautiful , Hannah. It was a privilege to get to hear about Delbert and more of your families adventures in the testimony you and Stephen gave.
We also loved the message your pastor gave us.

The service was very nice, you should be proud of the way you handled all of this, as I am sure your dad would have been. Delbert was more than just one of my best friends, he was my brother. We had a lot of fun together and I will miss him terribly. Please remember if your family needs anything you know where I am.
