Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Donald Kevin Snyder, 65, of Kansas City, MO, passed away in his home on October 11, 2022.
Kevin was born on August 24, 1957, in Independence, MO to Don and Frankie Snyder. He attended Raytown South High School and after graduation enrolled in the Ironworkers apprenticeship program.
Professionally, Kevin worked mainly for Bratton and Builders Steel. He started in the field and worked his way to field superintendent, coordinating, overseeing and bidding jobs. Kevin was always willing to help, could work with all kinds of people, and could solve problems in a way that left everybody smiling in the end. A unique quality in this line of work.
Retirement gave Kevin opportunities to be with friends, host events, and volunteer. He made time for people. Kevin transformed a pasture into a spot to have fun and celebrate. He hosted weddings, graduations, birthday parties, political fundraisers, awards banquets for the Raytown Police department, Chiefs parties, Fourth of July fireworks, spooky Halloween hayrides, Sunday Fun Days, not to mention the times when folks just “stopped by.”
Kevin sat on the board of the Raytown Police Fund for Public Benefit, Inc. and enjoyed organizing and playing in the annual golf tournament.
Fun followed Kevin everywhere. He lived his beliefs and stated them often:
“If you can’t have fun, don’t do it.”
“The more the merrier.”
“I love life.”
You are greatly loved and will be greatly missed, Kevin Snyder.
Kevin leaves behind his wife, Kim Snyder; children, Alicja and Bradley Carter, Konrad and Rachel Snyder; grandson, Nile Snyder; mother, Charlotte Belger; brother and sister, John and Shirley Belger.
Kevin also leaves behind so many, many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and John Belger II.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
So sorry for your loss, hugs and prayers
Spidey was one of our favorite humans! He was always so Linda be helpful. Miss him dearly ????
I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful man. I will miss seeing him driving by and waving to him on his mower. He always had a smile on his face when I saw him, and such an outgoing and warm personality. You have certainly been blessed to have him in your lives.
Even though he cannot be seen any longer, he will always be “Present” to me and many, many others. He absolutely loved life and was responsible for the rest of us doing the same. Knowing him first as my son’s friend and later my daughter’s husband; Kevin has been part of our lives for over 50 years. When I see his face, in my mind, I see that happy, sincere smile on his handsome face. I am proud that he considered me his “Mom”.
All so true.
I love you Kevin! No one will ever replace you in my heart!

Kevin was a great guy I have many fond memories of him at the lake and messing around the shop. He’s such a great guy, I feel bad for the people who weren’t fortunate enough to know him.
I miss our talks, barn time, laughs, parties, gatherings of such great friends and trips around pubs around town.
Peace my friend. Thanks for the laughs
To Kevin’s loving family, we are so sorry for your loss. He was such a positive person in his profession and in his community and ti his many friends. Such an untimely loss.
I love this tight knit family – so warm and caring to others. I can feel the loss in the lives of so many people that he befriended. It’s comforting to read these shared condolences. Let us be grateful for the time he was with us and all that he has taught us. He was so welcoming when I visited (with Alicja) and made us all feel right at home. The barn and the pool were definitely created for friends, family and fun. I appreciate that he helped and cared for so many people…help each of us to remember to take care of ourselves and each other as we continue this journey. May all the happiest of memories flood your mind each time you think of him. Love to all.
A good and honest person was Kevin. May your journey be filled with happiness and beauty.
There was nobody like you. Nobody.
Hopefully you and your Dad are revisiting the roadster you had in the car show when you met Farrah, or working together on that yellow and black Chevelle.
See you on the other side.
