Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute
Mary Jo was born April 26, 1943 in Glasgow, MO to Tony and Georgie White. She was number 11 of 13 children. Her parents and 8 other siblings preceded her in death.
After completing school at Booker T. Washington and Central High School she moved to California and attended Los Angeles Southwest College and studied Music and Theater. While there she helped plan and participated in Musicals. She was well know in Kansas City as well as Los Angeles for her wonderful ability to sing and did so at many different venues in Kansas City as well as Los Angeles. She was extremely talented and could have pursued a singing career but she was not overly confident and was shy about being in the limelight.
She was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Rest in peace, Sister Mary Jo. The congregation at First Presbyterian Church of Inglewood was blessed to have you among us. You were a sweet presence and someone we always looked forward to seeing and speaking with. You were direct and plain-spoken, but you were always ready to laugh. God bless you and God bless your family.
