She was like a second mother to me and my sister. I have many good memories of growing up with her in the neighborhood. I remember her as the den mother for our Cub Scout troop, making rain gauges and carving Jack o lanterns. A wonderful giving woman.

Thought of her often — her love of Pepsi, chocolate stars, peanut butter & jelly sandwiches and life! And – oh the hours on the phone (sometimes more than once a day) laughing & sometimes crying! She will be missed!

I will miss Mom forever. When she passed, it hurt my heart. Im glad shes no longer suffering though.

Mom is now in heaven with Dad, her sister Barbara, and all her family and friends who went before her. I’m so glad Mike and Michelle were able to fly here to Kansas to see Mom, hold her hand and tell her how much they loved her. Mom was so good to us.

My Grandma Susie was a kind, cheerful woman. Growing up, my brother and I would sit in front of the fishtank in her living room and watch mesmerized as she fed the fish so they would come out to see us. We would look out the window at the squirrels that would steal a bite out of her bird feeders. She would point out her favorite figurines on the table that sat under the window. These little details in her home showed a glimpse into who she was – a kind woman who loved to care for others. Most of all, I remember how much she loved my brother and I. Every time I saw her, she reminded me she loved me. She had pictures of her grandchildren on her walls and she was always excited when we called. Grandma Susie was a lovely woman and we will all miss her. – Kelli
