Roy Patrick Mata

Roy Patrick Mata, born on June 16, 1959 at St. Catherine’s Hospital in East Chicago, IN. He sadly passed away on June 20. 2023. He is survived by his significant other of 25 years Dawn Keller, Victoria Chavez, and his siblings Lydia (late Dwight) Summerford, Richard (Sandy) Mata, Rudy (Pat) Mata and Raymond (Nanette) Mata. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert P. and Carmen P. Mata (Mendez). His brothers Robert Jr, Ronald (Stella) Mata and his sister Mona (Mario) Blanco (Mata).

Roy will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him and most of all by his loving aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He could make anyone laugh with one of his famous jokes that he loved to tell. He loved the outdoors. But most of all he loved his family deeply.

As per his wishes, Roy was cremated in Missouri and will be brought home to Indiana where a memorial mass will take place. Date and time to be determined.
