Darlene & I are very sorry for not attending Nina’s service due to me not being able to stand for extended periods. We are certainly thinking about Nina, relatives and all the other families who are attending the services for Nina.
We were both around Nina and her families all of our lives. I remember putting on her roller skates when we were youngsters at the Carrollton skating rink and skating with her. The next thing I knew she married my brother L. D. Slinger in 1951 (16 Dec), the same year that Darlene & I got married (3 Apr) and my brother Bobby Lee & Bonnie Tabler married (8 Oct). I also remember hunting deer with Nina while using bows & arrows in freezing temperatures.
L. D. & Nina, Darlene & I attended the University of Missouri at the same time getting our Engineering degrees. Darlene & I have camped, fished, hunted and traveled with L. D. & Nina many times throughout her life. We will miss being around her.
Goodbye Nina.
Darlene & Joe Slinger
