Jason L. Gray Sr.

Jason L. Gray Sr. was born May 23rd, 1980, and passed away September 10th, 2023, at the age of 43. Jason was born and raised in the Kansas City area. He attended K-State University and had acquired a huge portfolio of professional skills.

Jason left behind an extensive network of friends and family including Wife Tricia Gray, Son Jason Gray Jr., Stepchildren Jordan Taylor, Jadin Taylor, Jasmine Taylor, eight beautiful grandchildren, Mother Pamela Sublett, Brothers Paul Walsh and Chris Edwards, Sisters Gail Walsh, Tanitha Walsh, Joilynn Walsh and Kaylee Edwards, including all the lives he has touched along the way.

Jason was a smart, loving, fun, compassionate person. His personality was bigger than life. He loved to tell jokes and stories. He could make the most boring subject exciting with his animated words. He didn’t know a stranger and would spend hours talking to people he just met. Jason was the type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it or sometimes just because you wanted it. Jason was not without faults or flaws, which made the love we carry for him even more pure. He used his life’s journey making sure others were not judged or left out.

His faith in God was strong. He was an avid KU and Chiefs fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whenever he could. He never passed up an opportunity to celebrate the lives of the people he loved. He loved cooking, spending time in nature and reading. He loved being able to make people laugh. Jason and his wife Tricia are a true love story most only get to read about. He loved spending time with her, doing anything and everything or nothing at all. He loved having his grand babies close and spending quality time playing with them. He was an amazing Pop Pop.

Although Jason’s time on Earth was too short, he lived it to the fullest and he is watching over us all from Heaven. He would not want anyone to be sad from his passing, he would want us all to make the best of the life we have left.
