Buffy Marie (McClanahan) Parsons, 56, of Higbee, passed away on October 10, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after her long term battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She was born to Mary Stephens on April 14, 1967 in Columbia, Missouri. She attended Rock Bridge high school.
She met her loving husband in 1983 and spent a wonderful 40 years together. They married in 1993 and moved to Higbee with their two children.
Buffy is survived by: her husband, Bryan; two daughters, Cayla Holtzclaw and Alyssa Boggs; three grandchildren; her mother and brother; aunts; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Aleita.
Buffy was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing but beautiful memories behind. If you had ever visited her home, you also knew that she had a passion for plants, photography, and quilting. When she found something she loved she surrounded herself with it.
Rather than a traditional funeral, Buffy wished for her friends and family to celebrate her life. The celebration will be held on October 21, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Lions Club in Higbee, Missouri.
I want to send my deepest condolences to Cayla, and the entire family, for the loss of your sweet mom/wife/grandmother.
I didn’t have the honor of knowing Buffy personally, but I could tell she loved her family deeply as she was always present at birthday parties and visited her daughters and grands often. You are definitely blessed to have a mother that loved her family fiercely, and I know that Buffy did just that.
You all will continue to be in my prayers. I pray the Lord will wrap you in His arms of peace and you are able to find comfort in Him. Cayla and her family are very special to me. I love you, Cayla.
