Joseph Donald Powell, 64, passed away November 9, 2023. He is predeceased by his parents, Paul Byron and Betty Powell, and infant brothers. Joe will always be remembered with love by his brothers, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Interment at Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
I will always remember you as a kind and fun uncle (except that time you held me upside down over the trash compactor lol) Love you and miss you Uncle Joe.??

I remember staying the night at grandma and grandpa Powells house as a kid and Joe would always tell me scary stories that I would look forward to! Years later, I realized he was telling me stories from books he read.
I cannot begin to tell you how sad this is for me. He was so kind and had such a HUGE heart and would help you if you ever needed it. One of my Daughter’s middle name is partially named after him. I always loved his laugh and the way he jiggled his shoulders when he would. I tortured him when I was younger when he would fall asleep I would paint his nails or put makeup on him. He would get mad but was always a good sport. Love and miss you. May you be in a better place and be free of any pain.
