Gloria Ann Bryant-Cobb

Gloria Ann Bryant-Cobb 89 of Grain Valley, MO passed this life December 11, 2023 at the home of family.  Service will be held Monday December 18, 2023 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society.  Visitation at 10:00 AM with Funeral Service at 11:00 AM with Graveside service following at Floral Hills Cemetery.

Gloria Ann Bryant-Cobb was born June 6, 1934 to Leonard Andrew and Virginia Mae (Boyakin) Heydon in Blairstown, MO.  She spent most of her childhood years in Clinton and Deepwater, MO.  She moved to Kansas City in the late 40’s and attended Northeast High School.

She married Billy Lee Bryant in 1950 and they spent 40 years together rearing 6 children before his passing in 1991.  She spent 29 years in the grocery business, 7 years at Wolferman’s until their closing and another 22 years with Safeway and Foodbarn stores across the Metro area. She loved her job and serving her customers and counted her colleagues as her second family. She retired in 1994 as a member of the UFCW. She then enjoyed spending more time with her children, grandchildren and eventually her great grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading, sewing and traveling.

In 1995 she moved to Grain Valley, MO where she pursed her favorite hobby, flower gardening. and landscaping the yard of her small patio home. In 1999 she met Robert Cobb Sr. and they married February 14, 2001; connecting their two families of 14 children plus spouses, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.  They enjoyed 9 wonderful years together before his passing in 2009.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Billy Bryant and Robert Cobb Sr.

And, of course her beloved dog GiGi.

    Sorry for your lost and lifting all of you in prayer for comfort and peace, she will be missed! But knowing now she is reunited with my mother; her sister and other loved ones, her eternal life begins!
