Donna Jeanne Ackley

Donna Jeanne Ackley, 77, of Independence, Missouri, passed away on January 19, 2024. She passed away peacefully with love at her home in Independence surrounded by her family. She was born on August 23, 1946, in Helena, Montana, to the late Eleanor Sanford and Fletcher Rowlette. Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Ackley, her son Donnie Green, her mother Eleanor Sanford, father Fletcher Rowlette, and her brothers Richard Rowlette and Mark Rowlette.

Donna will always be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was known for her ornery yet endearing personality. She had a giving spirit and touched the lives of many with her love and generosity.

In her free time, Donna enjoyed indulging in her hobbies. She loved to read books and watch movies, as well as cooking & baking in the kitchen. Donna also had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and cherished her time spent while living at her home in Wyoming. She especially enjoyed visiting the Flaming Gorge, where she could immerse herself in nature and observe the wildlife.

Donna leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her children: daughter Virginia and Payton Moses, sons Richard and Renee Green, Duane and Carol Green, and Michael and Julie Green. Donna is also survived by her siblings: brother Ronald and Linda Rowlette, sister Kathy and Ray Brown, sister Margaret Sparkman, and brother Michael and Robin Rowlette. She was a beloved grandmother to 14 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral arrangements for Donna Ackley are being handled by Heartland Funeral Home, located in Raytown, Missouri. The family will gather to honor and remember Donna during a private service.
