Joel Walter Wilson

Joel Walter Wilson, 65, passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home in Raytown, Missouri. Joel was born on December 20, 1958 to Kenneth and Louise Wilson.

Joel was a skilled mechanic who could fix anything with an engine. He loved racing cars and spent many weekends at the track. Joel was also a talented butcher and worked for Hy-Vee for over 20 years.

Joel is survived by his nieces, Kristin (Mike) Doile, Trisha (James) Nelson, great-nephews Camden and Cale and great-nieces Chloe and Madison. He was also a father figure to Dolly (Jared) Bates, a grandfather figure to Ashlin, and a friend to many. Joel was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mark, and his nephew Kyle.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society at 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd. Raytown, MO 64133 on February 21st, from 2:00-3:30 p.m., followed by a memorial service from 3:30-4:00 p.m.
