Serving the central Missouri region, Heartland is located in Columbia just off the I-70 business loop
Heartland is Columbia’s Low-Cost, Worry-Free Cremation and Funeral Home
Dedicated to Serving Our Local Communities and Veterans
In 2006, Joe and Rachel Kinney opened the central Missouri headquarters for Heartland Cremation & Burial Society to better serve the needs of families in this area. They saw how the Kansas City community had welcomed a business that would offer both low-cost, worry-free cremation and traditional funeral services without the customary high price. To build upon the successful business model started by the Looses, they wanted to provide their own families, friends, and neighbors in Columbia and surrounding central Missouri communities with affordable, yet respectful, cremation and funeral home services. For the convenience of these communities, they have an onsite crematory as well as a welcoming chapel space for visitations, funerals, and memorials.
Heartland’s proprietors and staff are proud to serve local veterans with special services for their final farewell. As a Veterans Funeral Care trusted provider, our staff is specifically trained to work with the department of Veterans Affairs to secure earned benefits for veterans and their families. Some of these benefits include VA cash, military honors, burial or inurnment in a National or Missouri Veterans Cemetery, and a burial flag.
