Michael S. Domerese

Michael S. Domerese, 57, of Belton, Missouri, passed away February 6, 2024. He was born November 21, 1966 in Hartman, Arkansas to Melvin and Linda Domerese.

Mike was a man of simple pleasures. When he was young, he loved playing Hackey Sack with his brothers and all of their friends in the driveway. He loved to host parties just to be able to be with all of his friends at the same time. He loved lifting weights and being strong. And boy was he strong! In body and spirit. There was no talking him out of something once he had his mind set on it. He enjoyed Taco Tuesdays, peanut brittle, Snickers and Pepsi. Or Mountain Dew, depending on his mood. He loved watching old westerns and Looney Tunes cartoons. He was a drywaller by trade, but he loved it. He was always doing something new to the house. He had a passion for working on cars and he was good at it. Not once did he need a mechanic. He loved classic cars most. He was always posting pics of them or putting together a model replica of them. He loved going to the lake, especially being out on a boat. Whether he was jumping waves while slalom water skiing, fishing, swimming, or just cruising in the water, he loved it. Truth be told though, it didn’t matter if he had no boat, he just loved being at the lake. He also loved taking his kids to Silver Dollar City and enjoyed the rides just as much, if not more than they did. Most of all, he loved his family. He was always bragging about how much he loved his kids and how smart they are, how handsome his boys are and how beautiful his daughter is. He loved family reunions and holiday get-togethers so he could visit with family that he didn’t get to see much.

He would do anything anyone asked of him if he was capable. All you needed to do was ask. He was everyone’s friend.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother Linda Jean Nelson Domerese; and brothers Mark Allen Domerese and Mitchell David Domerese.

Survivors include his wife Venus Louise Tunis Domerese, Belton, MO; children Chaz Michael Domerese, Kansas City, MO; Cotey Dale Domerese, Kansas City, MO; Dylan Louis Domerese, Kansas City, MO; Vanessa Michelle Domerese, Belton, MO; father Melvin Dale Domerese, Belton, MO; brother Martin Lance Domerese, Belton, MO; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many, many friends. Mike was loved by so many. He was a gift to the world and he’ll be greatly missed.

Visitation will be 2pm, Saturday, February 17, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 3pm at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133.

You were the love of my life when we were in school. In life, we went our separate ways. We both married other people and had children. When we found each other in 2017, I was never happier! We went through a lot of things including good times and the bad when you were diagnosed with cancer. You had strong days and not so strong days but you kept your chin up and kept trying to make everyone happy. You are the strongest person I have ever known. I have seen the love you had for your family and you blessed me and Caleb with your love! I will never forget you Mike! We were in love in school and our lives together ended in love. I love you and will never forget you!
