Cheryl Swinney Austin says
So sorry that she lost this battle. My prayers go out to all. Nilene and I spent our teen years doing everything together. I was 14 and she was 16 so since she could drive, I would give her $.25 and we would ‘buzz’ the drive-ins, such a Zestos, Allens and Nuways. We would rarely buy a burger, we just wanted to see who was there. We always had a great time! RIP Nilene!
Sandra Swinney-Pierce says
To: Robert (Brian), Greg, Jaime, and all my great and great-great nieces and nephews. My heartfelt thoughts to all. I have known Nilene since she was a neighborhood teenager, but most importantly when she joined our family and gave birth to my first nephew. Cherish the many memories and know that she is at peace. Much love to all of you.
Steve & Shirley Swinney says
Shirley and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Nilene’s family, especially Robert (Brian), Greg and Jaime and their children and grandchildren. We are sure she will be missed very much by all of you. We will miss seeing her at the RHS Class of 61 luncheons and dinners that we have had since the 50th class reunion in 2011. Steve had been a classmate since moving to Raytown in 1953 and has many memories of school and when she was a neighbor.
Steve Swinney says
Robert (Brian) and Greg, I’m very sorry for your loss. Seems like not that long ago we were kids opening Christmas gifts, lighting fireworks and getting into trouble at Grandma & Grandpa Swinney’s house. Your mom was a part of many of those family get-togethers and memories. Peace be with you…
Danielle Boguslaw says
Nilene was and always will be a beautiful soul. She had a twinkle in her eyes that was unforgettable. I was blessed to have her in my life for the last ten years. Sending all my love to those who are near and dear her heart. She is with God now, may she rest in peace and live on in our hearts and memories forever.
