Mrs. Betty Jean Bechtold, 84, passed away January 17, 2018 at The Arbors at the Bluff Creek Terrace in Columbia, MO. Betty was born December 14, 1933 in Winfield, KS, to the late Roy and Grace (Workman) Sanders.
Betty married the late Jack Bryant in June 1955. Of this union were born two children, Mark Bryant, who preceded her in death, and Cindy Lenk of Columbia, MO. Betty later married the late William Bechtold in December 1983.
In addition to her daughter, Betty is survived by a sister, Alma Finley of Wichita, KS, and a grandson, Chad Lenk of Columbia, MO.
Betty was a florist all her life, loved her animals and her grandson’s sports activities. She also enjoyed spending time with family at their lake house.
Friends and family will be received from 5-7pm on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 616 Jackson Street, Columbia, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Central Missouri Humane Society.
