Robert (Bob) Lynn Bente, 79, of Independence, Missouri passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. He was born on August 9, 1941 in Kansas City, Missouri to Abner and Thelma Bente. A memorial gathering will be held Friday, October 30, 2020 from 2-4 PM at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown,  Mo 64133.   Social distancing and masks are required at the service per Jackson County orders. 

Bob was a native of Kansas City. He loved to play golf. Bob loved watching sports. He was a true Kansas City sports fan. Bob loved spending time with the family and going to the grandkids sporting events. When he was younger he loved the Demolition Derby.  He had a love for cars. 

Preceded in death by his father Abner Bente, his mother Thelma and his sister Dorothy.

Survived by his kids Angie O’Dell (Kevin), Robin Contello (Danny), Jennifer Gutierrez (Alex), Patrick Bente (Kayla), grandkids Hailey Bente, Morgan O’Dell, Courtney Prosser (Cory), Benjamin Williams, Dominic Gutierrez, and Anthony Contello, and a great granddaughter Aubrie Prosser. His Sister Elle and many nieces and nephews. 

Bob was loved by all and we will be missed dearly.
