Addie Elizabeth Forbes

Addie Elizabeth Forbes, 92, of Independence, MO, passed away peacefully October 2nd, 2021. She had battled dementia for multiple years and put up a strong and hard fight, as she did for everything. She started her life in Independence, MO on May 15th, 1929 to Earl and Grace Reichling. Many would say her whole life revolved around dancing and theatre, even her young years. She started theater in high school and thoroughly enjoyed it, which led her to volunteer and work at the Roger T Sermon Community Center. Her family likes to say, “She loved the stage.” Addie enjoyed theatre and dancing through dementia, it was the light in the dark she was facing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Charles Forbes; son, Kenneth David William; and sister, Betty Thompson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Vohland and Debra Sinkclear; her two sons, Robert Forbes and Chad Forbes; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
