Alberta Louise Verstraete, 97, of Independence, MO passed away July 1, 2025. Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
Alberta was born on January 20, 1928 in East Moline, IL to John and Myrtie Tickoff. She married Joseph Verstraete on August 8, 1946. They had two sons, Gary and Ronald Verstraete.
She was preceded in death by: parents; five siblings; husband, Joe; son, Ron; and grandson, David.
Survivors include: son, Gary Verstraete; daughters-in-law, Lyn Verstraete and Mary Verstraete; grandchildren, Jennifer Riley (Matt) and Joe Verstraete (Amelia); great grandchildren, Devin, Brooklyn, Emma, Zoey and Milo.
