Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Alicia Ann Hernandez was born on March 20, 1969, in Kansas City, KS. Alicia joined her late husband Howard “Poncho” Eason Jr. on March 13, 2019, at Advent health Shawnee Mission, in Kansas. She was surrounded by loved ones. Alicia graduated from Harmon High School, in Kansas City, KS in 1987. She took on any roll or title that was necessary to those she loved. She was a daughter to Teresa Hernandez, sister to Rebecca Hernandez. Alicia was the proud mother to Xavier, Raymond, Adrianna, Eva, and Carlitos and she loved her nieces (Elena and Melana), nephew (Jose) and great-niece Yesina as if they were her own. Her favorite title would be “Yaya” as she would be known to her grandbabies Saraya, Alexander, Araceli, Eason, and Antonio. Alicia thoroughly enjoyed life and was frequently seen on the dance floor living life to its fullest. Her infectious smile could be seen from across the room and was instantly a comfort to those who knew her. She was a constant in so many people’s lives and living without her will be a challenge. Alicia was strong and rarely let anyone know if she was ill or unable to do something. In keeping with Alicia’s loving and generous spirit, it was her family’s decision to honor her memory by donating life through her organ donation. She was able to save 3 lives and will live on as a true legendary hero for life. Alicia leaves behind her loving companion Louis Macias her children, grandchildren, sister, mother, many family members, and many friends. Alicia was preceded in death by Howard “Poncho” Eason Jr, her grandparents Eleanor and Geronimo Hernandez, Uncle Stevie Hernandez, Aunt Vickie Hernandez, her Godmother Marie Hernandez and beloved cousin Dominic Hernandez. Visitation begins at 5:00 pm on Friday, March 22, 2019, with the rosary at 6:30 pm at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, MO 64133. Catholic Funeral mass starts at 10:00 am on March 23, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 11311 Johnson Dr. Shawnee Mission, KS 66203.
