Alvin Lee Edwards, 68, of Columbia passed away Wednesday February 8, 2017.  A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Liberty Baptist Church with services following at 2:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be in Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery.  Survivors include, his daughter Alice, a brother George, sisters Sharon, Jean and Colleen as well as one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

    So sorry to hear of Alvin’s passing. We will miss him at our 50th class reunion this fall.

    So sorry for Al’s passing. I know he is walking in a better and more peaceful place. He was a good neighbor and will be missed.

    Al was a very special friend, always there for me and everyone who needed him.
    I will never forget you my buddy. You will be sorely missed.

    P.S.: I was informed by his sister on his Skype that Al passed away on February 7, not Feb 8 so now I am not sure which date is correct. If anyone can come in contact with me I would be grateful.

    Just found this by looking for Alvins’ name on Google. I was his wife from 1986 until 1996, approximately. So very sad to hear of your loss. Alice I know we lost touch but I have thought of you often. My prayers are with all of the family. I pray that Alvin was living a happy life until he passed.
