Amber Nicole Rose, 37, of Independence, Mo., passed away September 26, 2019, from her battle with cancer. Her grandfather (“Dad”), Phillip, followed shortly after.
A visitation will be held at 2:00 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Heartland 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo.
Amber was born on October 12, 1981, in Kansas City, Mo., to Mark and Carrie Rhoades. She always had to have her nails done, liked to karaoke and country music, taught herself how to crochet, enjoyed working concerts at Arrowhead, and most of all, loved working during the KC Chiefs and KC Royals home games
She was shortly followed, in death, by her grandfather (“Dad”), Phillip Castro. She was preceded in death by her son Timothy Bogue Jr; her paternal grandfather, Ned Rhoades; her maternal great-grandmother Ermenia Castro (Grandma downstairs, who spoiled her); and her uncle Chris Lance Castro.
Amber is survived by her parents; her siblings, Tyler Dooley (Kelsey), Josh (Nikita) Rhoades, Cayla Rhoades, Zach Stead, Quentin Rhoades, Dawson Rhoades and Zoe Rhoades; her maternal grandmother, Sandra Castro; her paternal grandmother, Jeanne Rhoades; her ‘2nd mom’, Lisa Magruder Rhoades; and her best friend, Darrell Rose (Gina Chavez); and many nieces and nephews.
Amber was a little doll and always brightened my Girl Scout troop meetings. She loved to do crafts and grew into a wonderful and loving woman. She remained strong in her testimony of Christ throughout her illness and will be missed by all of us.
Carrie, Tyler, family, and friends, So sorry to hear of the passing of your daughter Amber. She was a sister, granddaughter, other relatives, and friends . I pray love, peace, comfort, and strength during your time of loss. God Bless! Love & Prayers,
Amber always felt alone and abandoned even with family and friends, Amber never knew how many people really loved her even after her passing. But Amber must of known it was about her time because she messaged for Gina and I that when we come and see her that if possible can we please have Bible study and even when she was so drained she listened and she said the prayer that was said to ask Jesus in her life. The next morning Amber passed away. I know this because it was the only actual time Amber really listened to what was told. I know that Amber is in heaven now because she reunited her life to God. She is now having the best time of her life. Amber will come back and walk this earth as Jesus said and I know I cannot wait to see Amber again.amber you were loved by many. I’m so glad I knew you in this life as well as the next life. Gina and I will wait for us to come to where you are so that you can show us around heaven. We love you Amber .
Sending all my prayers and condolences to the family and friend’s.am bee from the day we met I knew there was a connection.each day we came over to even just sit and watch TV I knew words didn’t have to exchange for us to know we are sisters. I loved it you wanted to have bible study that you were hungry for God’s word to have assurance that you will leave your early body and go into your spiritual body and live eternally with Jesus.your not just my girl but my sister in which I miss seeing you here but I know I will see you again soon I love you and please show me around before you show Darrell Rose always your sister Gina
We have known Amber for about thirty years, when she came with Lisa, her second mom, to the Zeikle family gathering in Higginsville. Our lives were made brighter as we watched Amber playing her cousins. We had the privilege of watching these children grow into young adults. Amber will be missed.
