Amy Elizabeth James, aged 57, passed away on November 16, 2024, in Independence, Missouri. Born on July 10, 1967, Amy was known for her vibrant and spirited personality. Always the life of the party, she was famous for her love of the band Alabama, her sewing, and her unique ability to remember everyone she met. Her laughter was often fueled by her favorite treats, Dr. Pepper, Skittles, and M&M’s.
Amy is survived by her loving mother, Carolyn Beymer, her sisters Laura Johnson and Chandra Weatherly, and a host of nieces and nephews: Megan, Brianna, Spencer, Zachary, Preston, Emily, Chase, and Christa, along with 11 great-nieces and nephews. Her family circle also included two caring uncles, numerous cousins, and many friends who will miss her deeply. Amy was preceded in death by her grandparents Evelyn and Ova James, Shirley James, Uncle Billy James, and other cherished family members.
Throughout her life, Amy pursued her passions with enthusiasm. Her hobbies included sewing and coloring, and she never missed a chance to listen to music, especially enjoying performances by her Uncle Roger. A simple pleasure she cherished was grabbing something to eat from McDonald’s.
Services to honor Amy’s life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, located at 802 NW Vesper St., Blue Springs, MO, 64015, from 2 to 4 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow at Life Point Crossing, 4116 NW R. D. Mize Rd., Blue Springs, MO, 64015.
Amy’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, laughter, and music. She will be remembered fondly and missed immensely by all who knew her.
