Amy L. Unger

Amy Unger of Greenwood, MO passed away on October 8, 2022 at home from extended health problems.

Amy was born November 30, 1973 in Hillsboro, OH.  She graduated from McClain High School, Greenfield, Ohio in 1990. She continued on to study nursing at Southern State Community College and graduated as an RN.  After graduating nursing school, she married and continued her nursing. She later had her two children, Cody and Genna, who she loved so much.  In 2010 she met the love of her life Adam Gordon.

Amy’s  interests included her family, nursing, and helping others. She loved to garden and loved her family so much.

Her family includes her partner in life, Adam Gordon; mother, Diana (Dennis) Ray of Pleasant Hill, MO; father, Gary Edwards Sr of Hillsboro, OH; children, Freddie (Cody) Allen and Genna Allen; brothers, Gary Edwards Jr, James Edwards of Hillsboro, OH; step-sister, Mattie (Matt) Wilson of Pleasant Hill, MO; granddaughter, Skyler Gordon; the Gordon family of MO; aunt and uncle, Teresa (Rick) Knisley of Greenfield, OH.  She is also survived by cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Amy is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Ann Hettinger; uncles, Tim Brewer, James Brewer, and Kevin Brewer of OH.

A visitation and funeral service for Amy will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Raytown, MO with burial at Brooking Cemetery in Raytown, MO.
