Andrew Joseph “Joe” Halbrook, 48, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on September 18, 2023 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on September 25, 1974 in Kansas City, Kansas to Deanna Boyd and the late Billy Joe Halbrook. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Marlo, and their two sons, Alexander and Dominic. He is also survived by his mother, Deanna Boyd, his bonus mom, Linda Halbrook, his aunt, JoAnn Fisher, uncle Terry Fisher, his sisters, Sandra Nelson, Angela McCoy, Melissa Johnson, his brothers, Bob Halbrook, Joshua Price, and 12 nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Joe Halbrook, his grandfather, Salvatore Agrusa, sister, Bridget Halbrook and Uncle Frank Dominic Agrusa.
Joe had a successful career as an Executive Chef, working for J. Gilbert’s in North Carolina and as a Sous Chef for J. Gilbert’s in Connecticut and Chiusano’s Brick Oven Pizzeria in Kansas City, Kansas. He was known for his culinary skills and creativity in the kitchen.
Outside of his career, Joe had a variety of interests and hobbies. He deeply cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and loved watching UFC. Joe also had a passion for creatively cooking and experimenting with different flavors.
A visitation will be held on October 4, 2023 from 2-4 PM at Heartland Cremation and Burial in Raytown, Missouri. The funeral home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Joe Halbrook will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, amazing talents, creativity, and love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
