Angela Rachelle “Angel” Taylor

Angela Rachelle “Angel” Taylor, age 54, passed away on April 20, 2026, at Capital Region Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. Angel fought a courageous battle with Peritoneal Carcinomatosis, a rare form of cancer.

Angel was born on October 7, 1971, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to the late Terrance “Terry” Taylor and Denise VanOsdol Taylor. She worked for many years as a well-known and beloved bartender at Twin Bridges Bar and Grill and The Office Lounge, where she made countless friendships and left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Angel loved going to concerts and riding motorcycles. For her 54th birthday, she was gifted her own Harley-Davidson. Although she never regained the strength to ride it, knowing she had the motorcycle of her dreams brought her great joy.

She is survived by her mother, Denise Taylor (Dale) of Jefferson City, MO; two children, Cody Joens (Kayela) of New Bloomfield, MO, and Haley Wekenborg (Scott) of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren, Felix and Isla; sisters, Jana Taylor (Jason) of California, MO, Tara Taylor (Dan) of Oklahoma; brother, Jeb Taylor (Devin) of Washington; bonus sister, Shena Thomas (Rick) of Jefferson City, MO, Step-Grandmother, Norma Jean Taylor of Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Angel was known for her free-spirited personality and her deep love for her family, especially her children, Cody and Haley, and her grandchildren. She also dearly loved her fur babies, cats Baby and Frankie, as well as her sister’s cat, Creed.

She was preceded in death by her father, Terrance “Terry” Taylor; infant brother, Joseph; maternal grandparents, Don and Dordan VanOsdol; and paternal grandparents, Marvin “Mugs” Taylor and Cathy “Tootsie” Harper.

Angel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Club, 1411 Missouri Blvd., beginning at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come share memories and celebrate Angel’s life.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Denise, I am so sorry for your loss of your precious daughter. I don’t recall meeting her, but you talked about her when we worked together at Lincoln U. Cooperative Research. I just saw today you had the gofundme and that she was in hospice care. Prayers for you, her sisters, children and all of her family and friends. I just saw the post of her passing.
