Anita Louise Hilton

Anita Louise Hilton, 78, of Grandview, MO departed this life peacefully for Heaven on the morning of Sunday, April 28, 2019. She was a resident at Life Care Center of Grandview.

She was born at home in Hermitage, MO on July 7, 1940 to George and Inez Fulton. Anita was married to her high school sweetheart, Richard L Hilton on April 13, 1956 in Independence, MO.

Anita will be remembered for her love of family during her many years as a mother and homemaker. Her walk of faith and steadfast belief in Jesus Christ was also very important to her throughout her life. She was a joyous encourager to many friends and relatives over the years. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family especially during the holidays. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, sunsets, and listening to Christian music.

She spent most of her life living in the Kansas City area.

Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L Hilton, in 2017, after 61 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby L Fulton, and brother Donnie R Fulton.

She is survived by son Rick Hilton of Lee’s Summit, MO; daughter Brenda Hilton of Grandview, MO; daughter Cindy Hartman of Lakewood, CO; son Timothy Hilton and wife Tetyana Hilton of Raytown, MO; as well as two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Her visitation and celebration of life will be held at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society in Raytown, MO on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Visitation 10 AM; celebration of life 11 AM.

Anita will be interred at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO on Monday, May 6, 2019. Upon the family’s request, a graveside service will not be held.
