Arlon L. Gray, 61, of Independence, MO went home to his heavenly Father September 23, 2007. He fought a courageous battle with cancer. Arlon was born April 8, 1946 in Independence, MO. He spent most of his youth in California and joined the Air Force in 1966. He served three years in Germany, with an honorable discharge in 1972. He attuned Rio Hondo College, in California. He was a very generous and loving person. He served his church, The Community of Christ, as a deacon all his life. He had many hobbies and was active in Boy Scouts for 40 years. He adored his grandchildren Kaitlyn and Owen, and looked forward to every minute spent with them. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 31 years, son Arlon F, grandchildren Kaitlyn and Owen, sister Janice Gray, three brothers, Robert & wife Maxine, Ed Passman & wife Lalanie, Lewis Passman & wife Emma, four nieces and two nephews. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Tuesday Sept. 25th at Beacon Heights Community Church,.
