B. W. Sutphin, Jr. passed away May 10, 2014.
J.R. will be missed dearly by his family and many friends. Surviving are his wife of 62 years Dorothy Sutphin, his son Greg Sutphin and fiancee Susan Clark, his daughter Sue Osborne, his grandchildren Jessica Sutphin, Mark Sutphin, Amy and Tyler Baker, Mandy and Andrew Lynch, Sara and Andrew Newell, his great grandchildren Kayla Sutphin and Alaythea Baker. His passion for his family will not be forgotten.
J.R. cared deeply for his family and friends in the Holiday Mobile Home Park in Lakeland, Florida. He served as president of the park shuffleboard club and home owners association. he was an active member of the vespers choir these activities were near and dear to his heart. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to purchase memorial items for these groups at a later date.
A graveside, military honors service has been scheduled for May 15, 2014 in the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas at 11 a.m.

Dearest Dorothy and family ~~ It has been such a privilege to have been a part of your family for the last year. The love story we have watched has come to an end visually but we both know that the love will go in your family. We feel your loss and we will be with your hearts on Thursday and the following days to come. Love to you all.
