Barbara Joan Spradley, 81, of Grandview, MO., died on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 at the Carmel Hills Nursing and Rehab Facility.
She was born in 1942 to Ralph N. Tosser and Florence A. (Stanley) Albergucci in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Frontenac High School in 1960. In 1967 she married Frank K. Gartner in Girard, KS. In 1979 she married Charles G. Spradley in Independence, MO. Both preceded her in death. She resided most of her life in the Kansas City Area.
Survivors include: two children, son, Paul B. Gartner of Grandview, MO., and daughter, Robin L. Arnold of Independence, MO.; sister, Gloria Zetmeir of Las Vegas, NV.; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents.
As per Barbara’s wishes, she is being cremated. A private service will be held at a later date.
I will miss my sister tremendously. I was very fortunate to be able to talk with her every day during the last four months. We became very close and I will cherish that forever. All her family loves her dearly and she will be missed. Love you, Sis….rest in peace.
I will miss my grandma immensely. She was always there for my sister and I . I’m happy she is at peace .
