Barbara Spaw, 73, beloved wife and mother, passed away Oct. 23, 2007 at Timberlake Care Center in Kansas City, MO. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Ronald E. Spaw, and her parents Clayton McGowan, and Leda (Wolfe) Schaffer. She is survived by five children, Judith, Mark and wife Nene, Kenneth, Timothy, and Jennifer; two grandchildren, Patsy and Janet; and three great-grandchildren, Cierra, Jacob and Bryanna. Barbara was a life-long resident of the Kansas City area, but spent some time overseas with her husband during his time serving in the United States Air Force. A graveside service will be held 1:30 PM on Oct. 29, 2007 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, in Leavenworth, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, 5445 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS 66104.
