Barbara Sue Long

On August 7th, 2022 our mother, Barbara Sue Long unexpectedly passed away. She has always been the heart of our family and the thought of her not being here doesn’t seem real. She has been the greatest wife, mother, grandmother, and family member that this family could have ever hoped for. She is a very special woman and we know she has touched the lives of so many people around her. So in honor of her, we are hosting.. A Celebration of Life for Barbara Long on Saturday, August 13th @ 2:00pm at their home. Please join our family to celebrate mom’s life by sharing pictures, memories, lots of laughter, a few tears and many stories. We ask that everyone who attends please bring a chair and a covered dish to share. Even though this is a sad time, we look forward to sharing the mark she has left on this world with you all.

Barbara was born March 13, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Beatrice Meisner.

Survivors include: husband, Richard Long; daughters, Rebecca (Damon) Bender, Amber (Jeremy) Neal, Gabrielle Kephart; grandchildren, Kyle, Alissa, Emily, Sean, Derrick, Deaira, Xavier, Isaiah, Logan; great-grandchildren, Adara, Nova, Weston and Amora; and siblings, Steve (Sue) Meisner and Teresa Meisner.

To my dearest long time friend. She was a beautiful lady. I had the privilege to take her to junior/senior prom.
She has left way to early.
Go rest high on that mountain your job is done
Here on earth. You will always be loved by many

REST IN PEACE AND GOD BE WITH YOU.

I am so sorry for your loss! I met Barb at Kearney Kut-Ups Quilt group and learned so many things from her! She always had a smile on her face no matter how many crazy questions I asked her, and there were a lot because I was a beginner quilter. A beautiful, lovely lady, and she is missed by so many!
    RIP Barb! ? ???
