On June 8th at 8:10 a.m., Barbara Campbell was welcomed to her eternal home in Heaven. Welcoming her arrival were her parents, Harry and Jessie Wilson; her husband, James Jacobs; her sister, Shirley Wilson; her grandson, Matthias Green; and her son-in-law, Matthew McNab. She died in her home in Overland Park, Kan. She was born on Aug. 4, 1925, in Emporia, Kan. Her interests included needlework, Royals baseball, her love for cats, reading and crossword puzzles. Family was of the utmost importance to her. Joining her at a later date will be her daughter, Candy McNab; her son, Mark Jacobs; daughter- in-law, Susan Jacobs; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters; one brother and many friends. Barbara worshipped her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Covenant Chapel Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 13300 Kenneth Rd, Leawood, Kan. A celebration of her life will be held there on Friday, June 13. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. and services will be at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Miami Memorial Gardens, 28863 327th Street, Paola, KS 66071. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to either Covenant Chapel or Habitat for Humanity.
