Benita Gayle (Edwards) Campbell

Benita Campbell, 64, Kansas City, Missouri passed away December 8, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital with her daughter at her side and her sons nearby. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to Noon on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Mo 64133. Benita was born September 29, 1956 in Lexington, Kansas to Dora Ann and Charles Edwards. She grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and received her high school diploma from Excelsior Springs High School. She went on to attend Penn Valley Community College. She was married to her beloved husband Terry Eugene Campbell, Sr. (whom preceded her in death in 2016) for 38 years. Together they had 3 children; Terry Jr., Terrence and Tenesha Campbell. They have seven grandchildren; Aisha, Jaiden, Dominick, Xavier, Keon, Kinsley and Zayland. Benita worked for Gilmour, now called Fiskards, for nearly 20 years. She retired in 2016. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, shopping, playing Candy Crush and watching her favorite reality TV shows.

Benita is survived by her three children; Terry Jr (Holly), Terrence (Angela) and Tenesha (Johnny), siblings Darrell, Sonja and Tamara Edwards (Hawkins), her beloved grandbabies and a host of extended family and friends.
