Berniece Harrington

Berniece (Taylor) Harrington 90, passed away peacefully & surrounded by love on June 30, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Graceway Chruch, 5460 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Raytown, MO 64133. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00am.

Born on October 16, 1929 in Armourdale, KS to Alice (Moss) Taylor and Robert Henry Taylor Jr. Berniece grew up in Armourdale, KS & Kansas City, KS where she graduated from Sumner High School & attended First Baptist Church in Armourdale, KS in her youth and then later became a faithful member of Graceway Baptist Church in Kansas City, MO.

Berniece gave her full self to each of the many roles she served in the many lives she touched. She was a very eloquent, outspoken and to the point communicator, a natural giver of her time, talents & finances, she was a lover of learning new things, she was a lover of book reading, and she loved writing letters to family & friends.

She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, & a friend who felt like family to many. Berniece loved the Lord & she didn’t have to tell a soul because His light shined brightly in & through her.

Berniece is proceeded in death by her husband James Harrington, her son Larry W. Estell, her brother Robert Henry Taylor III, & her sister Elizabeth Taylor.

She is survived by two sons John W. Estell Jr.(Carlisha Wells), Keith D. McHudson (Tina McHudson), & one daughter Candice J. Wright.

Her grandchildren who lovingly called her Sugar are Vanessa Estell-Jackson, Sameerah Nuridden-Perryman, Michelle Estell-Ward, John Estell III, Jared Estell, Keith McHudson Jr., Joana McHudson, William McHudson, Timothy McHudson, Caleb McHudson, Vincent Williams, Angel Williams, Candice Holland, Risala Allen & Dontae Allen.

She also leaves her favorite niece Tanya Anderson, a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren & a host of relatives & friends.
