Betty Ann Spurgeon Leftwich

Betty Ann Spurgeon Leftwich, 85, of Raytown, Missouri passed away on November 7, 2020 at home. A memorial service will be held on November 21, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64133.

Mrs. Leftwich was born on July 22, 1935 in Brownington, Missouri to William and Laura Spurgeon. Betty was married to her husband for fifty years and four months. She enjoyed being around family and she would always say “The more the merrier!’ Betty enjoyed traveling , playing bingo and her Betty Boop collection. She loved her job as a Pharmacy Tech until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William Elsworth and Laura Pearl Spurgeon; husband, Johnny Leftwich; brothers, Bob, Harlan, Roy, John and Jerry Spurgeon; sisters, Goldie Wanita Spurgeon and Audria Raley.

Survivors include three daughters; Michelle Yager, Rochelle and David Wilson and Sherry and Rick McGee; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Tom Spurgeon; sisters, Wilma Manbeck and Joyce Moles; and many nieces and nephews.

    I miss you so much Grandma!! I am so glad you are with Grandpa now though! You made such a humungous impact on Chris’s life and mine and was trying to with Nicole….You are forever missed every day!! Wake everyday wishing we could reverse time so we could be together again!!
